Northeast Woodland’s mission is to awaken children to the wonder and joy of learning through nature combined with the living arts, academics, and the role these elements play in the development of the whole child. Our school will nurture creativity, individuality, and independent thinking to inspire and prepare children to pursue educational excellence and enter their community and the world with confidence, competence and compassion. By addressing their heads, hands and hearts, the school will encourage students to be lifelong learners and contributors to their communities and society as a whole.

Like the trees around them, our outdoor classrooms will provide shelter from everyday life and a place that supports imagination and inquisitiveness unencumbered by walls. A place that embraces our children with quintessential elements of early development: sun and rain, leaves and bark, bugs, moss, and all the mysteries therein.

NORTHEAST WOODLAND PTO
The Northeast Woodland PTO is a vital partner in the Northeast Woodland Chartered Public School community. Our mission is to support the educational goals of the school, facilitate a healthy, open, and receptive relationship between families and faculty, and provide an inviting social environment for all members of the community.
Meetings are held on a monthly basis with a focus on announcements such as volunteering opportunities, event planning/organizing, and parent education. Meetings are open to all members of the public and designed to address pressing new issues or endeavors that parents, the local community, or the faculty feel are important to be addressed in an open forum, where information can be shared and feedback can be received.
The Northeast Woodland PTO acts on behalf of the Northeast Woodland Public Charter School. The Northeast Woodland PTO is a subsidiary of Northeast Waldorf Education Foundation a 501c3 non-profit.
